terms of use
Effective 10 October 2026
The short version. NO ID lets you get anonymous messages, reply privately and share stories with no name. You must be 13 or older. Be kind, don’t harm anyone, don’t share anyone’s private details. You are responsible for what you post, and for any screenshot or copy you share of what others sent you.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and NO ID (“we”, “us”) for using noid.help and everything on it (“NO ID”). By using NO ID you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use NO ID.
2. What NO ID is
NO ID lets you make a personal link, share it, and receive anonymous messages from anyone who opens it. The owner of a link can reply privately, starting an anonymous chat. Off My Chest is a public section where people share personal stories without their names, and others can react and comment anonymously. There are no accounts: no email, phone number or password.
3. Who can use NO ID
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian agrees to you using NO ID. Some stories in Off My Chest deal with adult themes; read them at your own discretion.
4. Your link and your key
When you make a link, you get a private key. The key is the only way into your inbox: it is kept on the phone you made the link on, and you can save it to open your inbox on another phone. Keep it secret: anyone who has your key can read your messages. We can’t see or recover lost keys, so if you lose it, you lose access to that inbox. The same goes for the private keys that let you follow your chats and manage your Off My Chest posts.
5. You are responsible for what you share
You are responsible for every message, chat reply, story, comment and reaction you post on NO ID.
If you receive anonymous messages or chats, you are responsible for any screenshot, image (including the pictures NO ID makes for you to share), copy or quote of them that you share anywhere, on NO ID or elsewhere. Think before you post something someone else wrote: it can hurt them even when their name isn’t on it.
6. What is not allowed
Don’t use NO ID to:
- threaten, harass, bully, stalk or intimidate anyone, or encourage anyone to harm themselves or others;
- attack people for their ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or any similar trait, or call for violence against any person or group;
- share sexual content involving anyone under 18, or sexual content of anyone without their consent;
- share someone else’s private information: full names together with accusations, phone numbers, addresses, workplaces, schools, accounts or photos;
- pretend to be someone else, including NO ID or its team;
- advertise, sell, spam, run scams, or post money-making, betting or loan offers;
- plan or promote anything illegal;
- try to find out who sent an anonymous message or wrote an anonymous post;
- break, overload, copy or automate NO ID, or get around blocks and limits.
We may remove anything that breaks these rules and stop it from being posted again.
7. Off My Chest
Stories and comments in Off My Chest are public: anyone can read them, and search engines may show them. Share your own story, and leave out real names and anything that could identify someone. We decide what appears in Off My Chest: we may decline, take down or remove any post or comment at any time, and we don’t have to explain why. A post that isn’t published stays visible only to you.
If you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency services right away. NO ID is not a crisis or emergency service.
8. Anonymity and its limits
We never show other users who you are. But anonymity on NO ID is not a shield for breaking the law: some information is kept for public posts and comments, as our Privacy Policy explains, and we may share information when the law requires it or when someone’s life or safety is at risk.
9. Reporting and blocking
You can block whoever sent you a message, end a chat, and report chats, posts and comments. Reports help us act; we may not tell you what we did about one.
10. Ads
Some pages show sponsored content. Advertisers are responsible for their ads. Tapping an ad can take you to another website, which has its own rules; we are not responsible for it.
11. Your content
What you write stays yours. By posting it on NO ID, you allow us to store it, show it and let it be shared within NO ID as the feature intends (for example, a public Off My Chest post is shown to everyone, and a message can be turned into an image by the inbox owner). This permission ends when your content is deleted, except where we have to keep it as our Privacy Policy explains.
12. NO ID as it is
We work to keep NO ID running and safe, but we provide it “as is”, without promises that it will always be available, error-free, or that messages will always be delivered. We may change, pause or end any part of NO ID. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for what other people post or share.
13. Ending your use
You can stop using NO ID at any time and delete your messages and posts. We may restrict or end anyone’s use of NO ID, or remove content, if these terms are broken or to protect people or the service.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; if a change matters, we will say so on NO ID. Using NO ID after a change means you accept the new terms.
15. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction over any dispute.
